EXCURSION INFORMTATION
Tuesday 15th April - Blaxland Riverside Parklands (Jamieson St, Sydney Olympic Park NSW 2127)
The children will have the opportunity to explore the parklands, engage in games and physical activities and enjoy a BYO picnic lunch while at the park. Please pack spare clothes and a towel.

- A risk assessment has been prepared for the excursion and transport, and is available to view.
Thursday 17th April – Flip out Caringbah (12 Parraweena Road, Caringbah, NSW 2229)
The children will be able to participate in physical activities such as jumping on trampolines and a game of dodgeball while at Flip Out Caringbah. Online Waiver MUST be completed before booking can be confirmed.

Wednesday 23rd April - Pocket City Farm Camperdown (31A Mallett St, Camperdown NSW 2050)
The children will receive an introduction into sustainability and biodiversity and explore Pocket City Farm Trails for a fun, hands-on experience, connecting with nature

Tuesday 29th April - Our Big Kitchen Bondi (36 Flood St, Bondi NSW 2026) & Waverley Oval (Cnr Bondi Road, Park Parade, Bondi Junction NSW 2022)
The children will have the opportunity to learn about the work of Our Big Kitchen, bake some delicious bread rolls and cookies and create heartfelt card for patients in hospital. Followed by a BYO picnic lunch at Waverley Oval.

What to bring:
- Morning tea and lunch and water bottle. Breakfast is available until 8 am, and there's afternoon tea. Please pack a nut-free lunch for your child.
- A jumper, hat (bucket hat preferred), enclosed shoes, a water bottle, and a spare change of clothes. Closed shoes are required, but open shoes can be brought for certain activities.
- For water activities, pack sun-safe swimmers (like a rashie) and a towel.
- Don't forget a big smile!
What to do each day:
- Drop off/pick up your child at the Page St gate; call the number on the sign if unattended.
- Notify staff of absences via email or the Xplor Home app.
- Keep unwell children at home per our health policy.
- Dress your child in comfortable, play-friendly clothes.
- Label all belongings (clothes, bag, hat, water bottle, etc.).
- Inform us of any changes to your child's allergy or health needs.
- Pick up your child by 6:00 PM to avoid a $20 late fee for every 15 minutes.
- Email the office if authorised contacts have changed.
Health & Additional Needs
It is imperative that you advise Star Club if your child has:
- Any allergies or health issues.
- Any additional needs (like ASD, ADHD, Global Development Delay, etc.), whether diagnosed or not.
- Any changes to their allergy/health requirements.
- Any medication needed during their time at Star Club, before they attend.
Please note that a child's booking may not be processed without sufficient information and documentation.
Weather conditions:
Excursions will proceed with light rain, but some activities may be canceled if weather worsens. Families will be notified by email and/or the Xplor Home App and alternative activities will be offered if needed.
Daily activity:
Activities may change or be cancelled at short notice due to unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, we will try to provide a suitable alternative and inform parents.
Full day program:
A full day program with various activities, including special incursions and excursions, is offered. Daily programs are displayed on the information board.
Behaviour:
According to Star Club policy, the organisation retains the right to remove a child from the programme if they exhibit repeated unacceptable behaviour or actions that may jeopardise the safety of others.
Group size:
Expected number of children is 60-120, with 6-12 staff members. Star Club's guideline is a 1:14 educator to child ratio, which can vary from 1:12 to 1:8 for excursions. For precise numbers, check the excursion information and roster on display.
Safety, supervision, transport & risk assessments:
Star Club has strict safety and supervision policies, available for viewing onsite or upon request. Children are encouraged to work with educators to follow these safety guidelines. Risk assessments for all incursions and excursions, including transport, are also available onsite or upon request.
Money/belongings:
Please refrain from bringing money, electronic devices, bikes, or scooters to vacation care, unless they are explicitly included in the program. Please note that Star Club and its staff cannot be held responsible for any personal belongings if children decide to bring them to the service.
Cost & Child Care Subsidy:
Daily fees are as outlined, with enrolment fees being extra. Eligible families may receive discounts on all daily fees through the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) program. If not completed yet, please ensure you submit a Complying Written Agreement for your child(ren)’s Pagewood Public School Xplor profile and then confirm the enrolment in your MyGov/Centrelink account.
Payment method:
Direct Debit is the ONLY payment method accepted. Before confirming a booking, ensure that your Direct Debit information is updated in your Xplor online account (home.myxplor.com), and that all accounts for services are current.
Cancellation policy:
Two weeks’ written notice must be given if you wish to withdraw your child from a booked session. If this notification is not given, full fees will be charged, even if the withdrawal is due to illness.
