Friday 20th December - End of Year Party at Mutch Park, Pagewood (Wentworth Ave, Pagewood NSW 2035)
This is a walking excursion. The children will engage in games and physical activities while at the park and enjoy a sausage sizzle lunch to celebrate the year. Parents / carers are welcome to join the fun at the park.

Tuesday 14th January – Great Outdoor Nature Adventure (Clifton Gardens at Morella Road, Mosman NSW 2088)
Our Great Outdoors Nature Adventure is an opportunity for the children to connect with the natural world around them and develop valuable life skills. The children will engage in experiences exploring nature such as a nature walk, dip net fishing, bug & crab catching and much more around Clifton Gardens, Mosman under the guidance of Ranger Jamie.

Thursday 16th January - SENIORS (years 3-6) Golf at the Coast Golf Club, Little Bay (1 Coast Hospital Rd, Little Bay NSW 2036)
The children will receive a tour of the golf club as well as an introduction to golfing. They will also be able to experience some hands-on practice of different golfing skills.

Thursday 16th January - JUNIORS (Kindergarten to year 2) Malabar to Maroubra Nature Walk (Pioneer Park Malabar NSW 2036)
The children will be able to connect with nature as they embark on a nature walk from Pioneer Park, Malabar to Maroubra Beach, Maroubra along the Western Escarpment Walking Track. They will enjoy a BYO picnic lunch at Arthur Byrne Reserve, Maroubra.

Tuesday 21st January - Monkey Mania Bankstown (8 Greenfield Parade, Bankstown NSW 2200)
The children will have the opportunity to engage in physical activities at this indoor playground where they can climb, slide, jump, run and explore. They will also be enjoying a BYO lunch while there.

Thursday 23rd January – Clovelly Beach Day (Clovelly, NSW 2031)
The children will enjoy a day at the beach, where they have the opportunity to play in the water, build sandcastles and engage in a variety of games and physical activity. They will be enjoying a BYO picnic lunch at the beach.

Wednesday 29th January – Barefoot Bowls at the Randwick Club, Randwick (135 Alison Road, Randwick NSW 2031)
The children will receive an introduction into lawn bowls before engaging in a game of barefoot bowls. They will enjoy a BYO lunch on the green.

Friday 31st January – Hyde Park Barracks, Sydney (Macquarie Street, Sydney NSW 2000)
The children will engage in a guided tour through Sydney’s Hyde Park Barracks. They will learn about Sydney’s past, the life of a convict through a variety of hands-on experiences. This will be followed by a BYO picnic lunch at Hyde Park.

Monday 3rd February – Movie at Hoyts Eastgardens & Chauvel Green Park (152 Bunnerong Road, Eastgardens, NSW 2036)
The children will enjoy a viewing of the movie Paddington in Peru (movie subject to change) at Hoyts Eastgardens before walking to Chauvel Green Park to enjoy a BYO picnic and some free play time to engage in physical activities at Chauvel Green Park.

Wednesday 5th February – Circus Skills at Sydney Circus Company, Botany (1/42 William Street, Botany NSW 2019)
The children will engage in a variety of circus related skills such as juggling, plate spinning and aerial performance skills, challenging their physical abilities.

What to bring:
- Morning tea and lunch with accompanying drinks for the day. Breakfast (until 8am) and afternoon tea are provided. Cooking experiences may be held during the day. Please remember when packing your child's lunch that we are a NUT FREE Service.
- Jumper, hat (bucket hat preferred), enclosed shoes, water bottle, spare change of clothes. Children must wear closed shoes but can bring open shoes for suitable activities.
- For days involving water activities, please pack sun smart swimmers (e.g. rashie) and a towel.
- A big smile!
What to do each day:
- Drop off/pick up your child via the Page St gate. There is a sign at the gate with a phone number if the gate is unattended.
- Advise staff if your child will be absent by emailing the office. Or by sending your absence notification via the Xplor Home app.
- Adhere to our health policy by keeping unwell children at home.
- Dress your child in comfortable ‘play’ clothes suitable for active and sometimes messy activities. We are a sun smart service, so please ensure shirts cover shoulders, back and midriff.
- Label all items (clothing, bag, hat, water bottle etc.)
- Collect your child by 6.00pm to avoid the late fee of $20 per 15 minutes or part thereof.
- Email the office if your authorised contacts/pick-up persons have changed.
Health & Additional Needs
It is imperative that you advise Star Club if your child has:
- Any allergies or health concerns.
- Any additional needs (such as ASD, ADHD, Global Development Delay etc.), diagnosed or undiagnosed.
- Notify us of any changes to allergy/health requirements for your child.
- Notify us of any medication required while at Star Club, prior to attendance.
- A child's booking may not be processed, unless adequate information and documentation is provided.
Safety, supervision, transport & risk assessments:
Star Club have strict safety and supervision procedures and policies available to view upon request. Children are encouraged to actively work with educators to implement and follow all safety guidelines. Risk assessments have been prepared for all incursions and excursions, including transport, and are available to view upon request.
Full day program:
A full day program is offered with a variety of activities in addition to featured incursions and excursions. Programs are displayed daily.
Group size:
Anticipated # of children is 60-120 and # of staff is 6-12. Star Club's guideline is a 1:15 educator to child ratio and can range from 1:12 to 1:8 for excursions. For exact numbers refer to excursion information and roster on display.
Weather conditions:
If rain is light, excursions may still be attended. Some activities may be cancelled at late notice if weather conditions are adverse. Families will be notified via email. Alternate activities will be provided if an excursion is cancelled.
Daily activity:
Activities may be changed or cancelled at the last minute due to circumstances beyond our control. In this situation, we will endeavour to provide a suitable replacement and notify parents.
Behaviour:
A child's bookings may be terminated if they demonstrate repeated unacceptable behaviour or behaviour which poses a risk to the health and/or safety to self and/or others.
Money/belongings:
Please do not allow your child to bring money, electronic devices, bikes or scooters to vacation care. Electronic devices and bikes/scooters may only be brought if specified as part of the program. Star Club and its staff are not responsible for personal possessions if children choose to bring them to the service.
Cost & Child Care Subsidy:
Daily fees are as listed. All daily fees may be discounted through the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) scheme, if eligible. Enrolment fees are additional.
Payment method:
Direct Debit is the ONLY method of payment available. Direct Debit information must be updated in your Xplor Home online account (home.myxplor.com) before a booking can be confirmed. Accounts at all services must be in order.
Cancellation policy:
Two weeks written notice must be given if you wish to withdraw your child from a booked session. If this notification is not given, full fees will be charged, even if the withdrawal is due to illness.
